Born 1936 in Denmark, founder and former director (1994-98) of the Danish Centre for Conflict-Resolution in Copenhagen. Master of Arts in Pedagogics. Professional experience: 1990, associate professor at Blaagaard Statsseminarium (Teacher Training College); 1989-90. Study tours in conflict resolution to Latin America, Micronesia and the US. 1979-89 member of the European Parliament. 1984-89. President t the Rainbow group, the European Parliament; 1984-89 Member of the Environmental Committee, EU. 1979-84 Member of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, EU. 1975-78 educational and social research, Royal Danish School of Educational Studies; 1971 associate professor, Blaagaard Statsseminarium (Teachers' Training College). Author of books on international understanding, the EU and peace, politics and ethics, pedagogical development and conflict-resolution. Became adviser to TFF in 1998. Is particularly interested in the role of education in forstering peace and in inter-cultural understanding.
