All countries promote certain narratives, whether by state, public service, “independent” or even free media. The West has lots of state-financed and state-influenced media, but it usually calls them “free” and other countries’ media “state media,” which is meant negatively. In the Military-Industrial-Media-Academic Complex, also known as MIMAC, the Media has become more important lately due to the explosion and globalization of media types and communication. The Houthis said the attacks were aimed at Israeli-connected or Israel-bound ships and they would continue until there is a ceasefire in Gaza. Meanwhile, the pressure on this vital trade route is impacting the global economy as ships are being redirected to more expensive routes. On January 11, South Africa presented its case documenting Israel’s genocide in Gaza to the International Court of Justice. The following day, the U.S. and U.K. attacked 28 sites in Yemen. One source states that it’s the world’s most popular and widely used content management system that now powers 42.7% of all websites on the internet. TFFs, my PhotoGraphics and my personal online home, plus 12 more I am responsible for, are all on WordPress. I love WordPress and have used it almost since it was established in 2003.
